Climbing Party and Bouldering Party

What safety measures are in place for a climbing party?
At XC, participant safety is our top priority. As part of The Association of British Climbing Walls, we have stringent safety measures and checks in place for a fun and secure experience. Our experienced instructors will guide and supervise children, providing thorough safety briefings and necessary equipment such as helmets, harnesses, and other climbing equipment.
What age group are climbing and bouldering parties suitable for?
Our bouldering and climbing party packages are suitable for a wide range of age groups. We cater to children as young as 5 years old, all the way up to teenagers and even adults! Our experienced instructors are skilled at tailoring the activities to suit the abilities and interests of different age groups, ensuring that everyone has a great time.
Can parents participate in the activity?
Yes, parents are more than welcome to participate in caving and climbing party activities. We believe in creating a inclusive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. If you want to join in the fun please let us know in advance so that we can ensure we have the correct equipment available! A parent joining in would count towards the participant numbers.
Is there a limit on group sizes?
Yes. We can cater for a maximum of 18 participants. This ensures our events are safe and instructor ratios are maintained. If enough advance is given, we can cater for larger groups.
Is there catering available?
Yes, we offer catering options for our climbing, caving and high ropes parties. Enjoy our delicious pizzas, along with a selection of drinks.
What should participants wear?
Dress appropriately according to the temperature outside. Although we are an enclosed building, it can be hot in summer and cold in winter. Wear layers that can be easily removed if you become hot. Dresses and skirts are not permitted. Remove all jewellery and if you have long hair, this must be tied back into a low ponytail.
Can I bring my own food?
We understand that some guests may have dietary restrictions or preferences, so feel free to bring your own snacks or treats to cater for special requirements. Unfortunately we do not allow you to bring hot food on site other than for dietary reasons.
Do I need to complete an acknowledgement of risk form for children who are not my own?
We ask that acknowledgement of risk forms are completed by the parents or legal court-appointed guardian of each child before arrival. If this is not done prior to the activity start time they will not be permitted to participate.
My booking includes pizzas. How many do I need?
Our Pizzas are 12 inches, and each pizza will usually serves 2 children. They come in 2 flavours – Margherita or Pepperoni. If you require additional pizzas or didn’t include in your initial booking, just drop us a message on the contact us page or reply to the booking confirmation email to let us know how many you want to purchase.
Can I add more pizzas to my booking?
Yes! Please e-mail us on enquiries@thexc.co.uk or use the contact us page to order extra Pizzas.
I have a party room included in my booked. Can I bring decorations?
Yes, you are welcome to bring decorations for the room. We want you to feel free to personalize the space and make it special for your event. Just keep in mind that we ask for no adhesive or nails on the walls, as we strive to maintain a clean and safe environment for all participants. Please remove decorations at the end of your party.
Do parents/guardians need to stay?
We require at least one parent or guardian to stay on site.
Can I customise my package?
Yes, absolutely! We understand that every party is unique, and we are more than happy to work with you to customize your package. Whether it’s adding extra activities, extending the duration, or including special requests, our team will do their best to accommodate your needs and create a memorable experience for you and your guests. Is there photography available?
Yes! we have special photo sharing software that parents can use to safely capture and share those special moments with guests. We prioritize your privacy and safety, so you can confidently share these memories with your loved ones. Our dedicated team will provide you with instructions on how to access and use our photo sharing software.
