FAQs
Do I need to fill in a waiver?
Yes, each group will have to sign a waiver before they enter the room.
When do I arrive for my session?
We recommend that you arrive around 15-20 minutes before your session is due to start. This gives you time to check-in at reception so we know you are here. Groups who arrive late will have time deducted from their experience and are less likely to complete it – it pays to be here on time! Sadly groups who arrive 20 minutes late or more will not be able to take part in their session, and no refund will be given/
How old do I have to be to use the Escape Rooms?
Our Escape Rooms are suitable for anybody aged 18+.
What else can I do at the XC activity Centre?
You can plan your next adventure at the XC with our brilliant family attractions. Located just outside of London, UK, we have the biggest indoor caving system in Europe, a huge skate park, as well as well as bouldering and climbing walls. You can find more info on each of these on our website.
How long does an escape room experience last?
The game itself lasts up to 60 minutes, but we recommend allowing around 90 minutes in total for your visit. This includes your briefing, the game, and a short debrief afterwards.
How many people can play at once?
- Our room is designed for groups of 4, making it perfect for friends, families, or colleagues who want to work together and take on the challenge.
Do I need any special knowledge or skills?
Not at all! Everything you need to solve the puzzles will be provided inside the room. Just bring your curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to work as a team.
Is it scary? What if we get stuck?
No jump scares here – our escape room is designed to be exciting and immersive, but not frightening. It’s all about the thrill of solving puzzles under pressure. Don’t worry – our game hosts are there to make sure you have a great experience. If you need a little nudge in the right direction, hints are available.
What should I wear?
There’s no dress code, but comfortable clothing and shoes are recommended since you’ll be moving around and working as a team to solve puzzles.
What if we don't escape in time?
If the clock runs out before you solve the final puzzle, the game ends – but you’ll still have a great time uncovering the story and tackling the challenges along the way.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes you do – all bookings need to be made 10 days in advance to guarantee your spot.
